A little more than a year after opening its doors, Northern Kentucky’s only Catholic bookstore, Ave Maria Books and Gifts, has moved to a larger location to better serve Catholics in the Diocese.

Owner Diane Steffen, a former SHDHS parent, invites members of local parishes to join her as Bishop Roger Foys blesses the new store, located in the Burger King Plaza at the intersection of Weaver Road and U.S. 42, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 28.

In addition to expanding the selection of books, angels and saint statues, cards, sacrament gifts and other Catholic items, the new location will allow Steffen to open the store to groups. She will host sacred art classes, book signings and Catholic prayer groups in Ave Maria’s Fatima conference room. “I wanted a place where people can not only purchase items, but have a place to come for spiritual growth,” Steffen said. “I am open to whatever God has in store for me. He has brought me to where I am now. This is more than I ever imagined in my wildest dreams.”

The store is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday. The store phone number is 859-657-6279.
