A group of seniors are taking time to grow in their faith as well as grow a little closer to some of their classmates this week on their retreat.
The four day retreat is an opportunity for students to unplug and get away from their everyday stressors and focus on deepening their faith and growing closer to Christ through prayer, Mass, and reflection. In addition to working on their faith, the students also get to work on their relationships with their classmates and work to build trust and camaraderie with activities like Hungry Hungry People – think Hungry Hungry Hippos, but with people, egg drop, and the ever popular trust walk.
This retreat was a little more celebratory than others as two of the students celebrated their birthdays. Jake Schlake’s parents even surprised him by showing up with cake for everyone.
The retreat was held at the Moye Center at St. Anne Convent in Melbourne, KY.
